Introduction

This game is based on FireRed and focuses on creating an immersive randomized experience. All wild encounters, trainer battles, and gift Pokémon are thematically randomized on the fly. This means a Pokémon's overall power level and types are derived from the FireRed engine. You can't encounter fully evolved or legendary Pokémon in route 1, nor fish/surf a fire type.

We've also overhauled a number of systems to make them thematically random including: mixed generations of starters, Pikachu, Unown, trades, gifts and overworld pokémon.

As a result, the game should be highly replayable, more challenging than vanilla FireRed, and has more controlled and thematic entropy compared to pure randomization.

This project wouldn't be possible without the amazing work from the DPE and CFRU. This includes a significant amount of modern features which aren't usually present in Gen 3 games. Like physical/special split, color coded moves, Gen 6 Exp. Share, no trade evolutions and more.
